It is imperative that these procedures are followed exactly to ensure that ALL teams using these fields enjoy the following
- Fields properly marked for players and referees
- Goals, nets and corner flags properly set-up
- Equipment properly stored away after last game
- Garbage picked-up so the league can continue using the fields
Responsibility
- The 1st home team of the day is responsible for field set-up
- The last home team of the day is responsible for takedown
- The 1st visiting team of the day is responsible for lining the field.
- Every team is responsible for field clean up
If everyone follows these simple procedures everyone will have a very rewarding and fun soccer season!
Coaches: remember to get parents to help with set-up, takedown, cleanup and field marking:
Field Lining
(Reed, Schallenberger, Booksin, Terell, Sartorette)
- The first visiting team of the day is responsible for lining the field during the week prior to the game.
- The Key to unlock and lock the storage box is in the combination locker attached to the field box. The combination is 1,2, 3, 4.
- These are the only fields following these procedure for lining. All other fields are lined by the competitive teams using the field.
Easiest way to check if your the first or last game at a field. Go to the Schedule page. Click on Schedule, then click on Referee Assignment. The referee assignment page will load. In the left hand column select the next Saturday play date. Each fields game schedule is listed for the day.
Set-up Procedure
- The first home team of the day is responsible for field set-up.
- The Key to unlock and lock the storage box is in the combination locker attached to the field box. The combination is 1,2, 3, 4.
- The first home team of the day will unlock the storage box and remove the correct net bag and 4 corner flags.
- The key to unlock the goals is also located in the combination locker.
- Unlock the goals, set the goals up and place the nets on them. Use the velcro strips to attach the nets to the goals.
- Hammer goal anchors, which are attached to the side frames, into the ground to prevent the goals from tipping.
- Set up the corner flags.
- When finished place the net bag back in the storage box and close the lid (DO NOT lock the box)
- Play your game and have fun.
- Make sure to leave the key in the combination locker.
Takedown Procedures
- The last home team of the day is responsible for take-down.
- The Key to unlock and lock the storage box is in the combination locker attached to the field box. The combination is 1,2, 3, 4.
- Take down the nets and goals
- Return the goals to their storage location and lock the goals.
- Place the nets back into the net bag and place the bag into the storage box along with the corne flags
- Close and lock the storage box.
- Make sure to leave the key in the combination locker.
(Do not take the locker box key home with you. The equipment may be required the next day.)
