The purpose of the CVYSL recreational soccer program is to provide the development of the soccer playing ability of the child. Safety, fun, excitement, and player skill development are the primary focus of our program. Regardless of the ability of the child, everyone deserves an equal chance to play and to learn in a safe, positive, and supportive environment.
The CVYSL recreational program is an in-house league comprised of teams that are formed by the league. These teams are all coached by parent volunteers. All U6 - U10 recreational games are played on local fields within the cities of San Jose and Campbell. Most of U12 - U18 recreational program games are also played on fields within San Jose & Campbell, but some of the "play through" games can be played in other nearby cities.
Children with little or no soccer experience should play in the recreational program. This will allow them to develop their soccer skills in preparation for advancement to competitive level play.
CVYSL offers both Fall and Spring recreational leagues. Registration for these seasons typically closes in June for Fall soccer, and in February for Spring soccer. So please be sure to register early by clicking on the Registration link at the top of the page.
